500 years later…

In 1501 Michelangelo was commissioned to start work on the statue that ultimately became the statue of David they we all know.  It took Michelangelo two years two find the marble stone.  After finding the stone he then sculpted, carved, and sanded into the magnificent statue.

How long did it take to complete the statue?  It took him more than two years, almost three years to create a masterpiece that has now lasted over 500 years.

What is your masterpiece?  How much time are you committing to it?  Michelangelo devoted all of his time that he had over a three-year period to create something that has now lasted over 500 years.  This just blows my mind.

What will be my masterpiece?  What will be yours?  What will people be saying about you or me 500 years from now…  Michelangelo set some high expectations for all of us with his masterpiece, but we each have an opportunity to create our own masterpiece today and everyday.

To your success and your future.
